The long road home - Part 2

After saying goodbye to Rob, we headed off to The Big Hole. It was really interesting and a fantastic experience. They've done the museum so well and it's well worth a visit if you're in the area.

The HUGE man-dug hole.

Kimberly was the first town in SA to get electricity. These are the original lamp posts.

We carried on with our journey and headed into the gloomy Free State toward the little town of Marquard. Our good friends, Kim and Sashank live there, so we thought we just had to have one last visit to their isolated Free State town. We had loads of laughs and it was a fantastic way to finish off our South African road trip.

Heavy rain once again

Kim teaching us how to make trifle!

After 4500km, 5 provinces, lots of singing and laughter, we're still friends. Vietnam, these two little birdies are ready for you, let's do this!
